This is an administration and support role.

The role requires commitment to achieve the support required but also to ensure that they learn the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours to acquire the relevant operational experience needed to pass the apprenticeship programme.

This role is office based, with travel required to training, workshops and meetings where necessary.


Description of Duties:


  • Responding to queries via telephone; this will include communicating with Care Staff, Service User's/Service Users' family members etc. where required
  • Taking incoming calls / reception duties
  • Greeting and looking after visitors
  • Assisting with general administration duties. This may include filing, scanning, creating reports etc.
  • Assisting senior members of staff with adhoc duties
  • Dealing with post (incoming and outgoing)
  • Monitoring office inventory, such as stationery, water etc.
  • Monitoring staff uniform inventory and ordering new stock, when necessary, with the completion of purchase orders
  • Typing and setting up documents such as letters and reports
  • Keeping computer records up to date
  • Filing
  • Using office equipment such as printers and photocopiers
  • Managing staff appointments
  • Setting up meetings and taking minutes
  • Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and databases
  • Liaising with senior staff and management to schedule interviews, training and inductions
  • Facilitation of training course registrations
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
  • Managing recycling (including shredding and secure disposal of paperbased documents)
  • Arrange for stands to be delivered to sites and set up in readiness for exhibitions and workshops
  • Preparation of business paperwork
  • Arranging refreshments for meetings, training events and workshops
  • Looking after petty cash
  • Liaising with external providers
