SALARY:
£20, £23, Spine _Pro-rata for Part Time_


ROLE OVERVIEW

The Procurement Executive is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for the company.

This includes working with existing and potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing inventory levels.


KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Procurement

  • Purchase inventory for stock using forecasting tools in line with sales and trends
  • Purchase nonstock items through purchase order processing, ensuring order compliance/conformity in line with internal systems to update orders and place new orders
  • Work with existing and potential suppliers, securing best price through effective negotiations and collaboration to achieve business objectives
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure that the company has the necessary supplies on hand without overstocking
  • Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, or invoices
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures
  • Oversee the procurement process, from requisition to delivery
  • Monitor stock performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and gather necessary information for supplier selection
  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers
  • Stay uptodate on industry trends and best practice

General

  • To demonstrate and uphold the Society's values and behavioural standards at all times
  • Ensure compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 by complying with internal information governance policies and maintaining up to date documentation as part of RLSS UK's compliance programme

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Relevant Skills and/or Aptitudes

  • Significant, demonstrable experience in procurement or a related field
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable Relevant Skills and/or Aptitudes

  • Knowledge of procurement principles and practices
  • Experience with supplier relationship management
  • Experience with contract negotiation and management
  • Experience with inventory management
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
