Role:

This position is part of the NERC-funded project "Adaptive introgression in the Anthropocene", the main aim of which is to understand the prevalence and impact of gene flow between native and non-native flowering plant species in the British Isles making use of newly generated genome assemblies and large whole genome resequence datasets.

The project involves working with other members of the Dasmahapatra group and collaborators Chris Thomas (University of York), Pete Hollingsworth and Markus Ruhsam (Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh), Alex Twyford and Simon Martin (University of Edinburgh), Mark Blaxter (Wellcome Sanger Institute) and Kevin Walker (Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland).
