Production Operative

Draught Beer (Bury St Edmunds)


As a Production Operative you will be expected to work a flexible pattern which includes a variety of shift patterns (6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm or 6am - 6pm).

Contracted hours are 39 per week and all hours above that will be paid out twice yearly at an inflated hourly rate.

You will be notified of your scheduled working pattern 10 days in advance.

Key Responsibilities...

  • To ensure the line meets and maintains key performance measures, such as: Yield, Output, Productivity, CCP compliance and Traceability
  • To ensure that all product is produced efficiently and adheres to customer specification.
To initiate problem solving efforts in their team to resolve issues as they arise

  • Line start up checks are done and correct paper work is completed
  • Production sheets are in place and in use
  • Down time is recorded and notified
  • Engineering are promptly notified to resolve breakdowns
  • To manage the critical control points'
  • To complete the standard daily reports including reporting accurate figures on achievement of line measures such as yield, output, productivity and all other measures required
  • To ensure housekeeping and hygiene in the work area is maintained to a high level for unannounced audits

About you...

  • Demonstrate adherence to policies, procedures and work to a timely and organised manner
  • FLT Licence, Counter balance and Reach would be an advantage
  • IT and PC knowledge able to use widespread functions within relevant software
  • Knowledge and experience of production process, plant and technology
  • Experience in actively working to reduce waste
  • Adaptable for a flexible working pattern
  • You will be an ambitious person who enjoys taking on challenges and responsibilities and wanting to play a strong part in a strong team.
