Description

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the Commercial analyst will play a key role within the team responsible for building capability around analysing and understanding underlying business performance, leading the Finance team's involvement in business reviews,longer-term strategic forecasting, managing and producing the internal financial reporting (including reporting to the Board) and providing the CEO and CFO with critical information to support key decision making.

The workload will be varied and challenging, responsibilities of the role include:

Bringing experience to help shape the roadmap of the Finance business performance team, with scope to implement new ideas.
Analyse, understand, and challenge business performance (both actuals and forecasts.
Redesign the internal quarterly reporting process, to significantly improve the efficiency, quality, and timeliness of financial analysis.
Shaping the agenda for the Quarterly Business Review meetings, particularly highlighting the key drivers and prioritising areas of focus.
Producing papers and presentations for the Board and Group Executive Committee relating to business performance.
Coordinating the Medium Term (5year) strategic plan forecasting process.

To be successful in this role, you should:

Have an accounting qualification with PQE in an industry setting, ideally at a group level.
Be a problem solver who is able to understand complex business drivers and articulate these to senior stakeholders.
Be able to build strong, relationships and demonstrate the ability to partner with the business.
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrate a strong analytical mindset
