Job Overview:

In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required)


Leading a team of Activities Coordinators, you will develop and plan programs, outings and events, oversee the staffing the events and the implementation of activities.

You will ensure the programme reflects the current population of the services' wishes and preferences.

To supervise and lead the Activities Coordinators and support their development.

To support and enable Service Users to access social networks and maintain personal interests in accordance with best practice, agreed standards, legislation and within the financial budget

To maintain skills at a current level, undertake such training and development as required from time-to-time to maintain and progress knowledge


Working Hours:
5 days over 7-day period, as agreed with the manager.


Role Specific Duties:
Organise and plan activity programmes reflecting Service User's preferences

Produce newsletters and activity timetables to inform Service Users and their relatives/friends about what is on offer

Support Service Users to access internet and communication such as letter writing, Skype and FaceTime

Plan events within allocated budget

Ensure Service Users are at the heart of events and programmes to enhance their wellbeing

Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support


Working with Others:
Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service

Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for people in the service


Leading by Example:
Supervise the Activities Coordinators, ensuring that they are supported with their own professional development

Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth


Personal Responsibilities:
Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by the management


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent, Part-time


Salary:
£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
