Bridgewood are business advisors and insolvency specialists.

The company carries out personal and corporate insolvency procedures including Liquidations, Administrations and Bankruptcies.

All of this is delivered by a highly skilled team based in Nottingham city centre, reporting to Bridgewood's licensed insolvency practitioners.


Bridgewood is looking for an academic, enthusiastic, dependable individual, interested in beginning a career in insolvency and developing into an insolvency case administrator, responsible for managing their own case load of insolvency cases.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing administrative support to the insolvency practitioners and other senior members of the insolvency team
  • Collection and organisation of accounting records
  • Setting up files/filing/scanning/photocopying
  • Making outbound calls to stakeholders in insolvency cases
  • Answering inbound calls from stakeholders in insolvency cases
  • Dealing with written enquiries from creditors, directors and other stakeholders
  • Data input and use of insolvency case management software
  • Cashiering and handling of funds
  • Attending meetings and taking minutes
  • Completing checklists
  • Managing case diaries
  • Completing corporation tax and VAT returns
  • Drafting section 100 and progress reports
  • Preparation of statutory documentation
  • Realising insolvency case assets in line with the agreed strategy
  • Completing periodic file reviews
  • Communicating any problems or any contentious issues identified to the insolvency practitioners and problem solving
  • Maintenance of files/records
  • Undertaking investigations into the causes of insolvency
  • Liaising with solicitors and agents in respect of investigations
  • Recording time spent on a regular basis and ensuring it is consistent with the proper performance of work
  • Attending staff meetings and training as required
  • Networking and business development as required

Further Information:

  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Holiday entitlement is 25 days per year (full time)
  • Primarily office based

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Educated to A level or equivalent
  • Experience of working within a professional services environment and meeting client expectations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel)
  • Understanding that statutory and regulatory compliance is essential
  • Calm and professional attitude
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Selfmotivated and strong work ethic
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to take on board feedback
  • Ability to develop mutually supportive and effective working relationships with other members of the team
  • Organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Dependable, reliable and punctual

Also Desirable:

  • Understanding of operation of limited companies, their structure and their distinct legal personality
  • Basic accountancy knowledge
  • Educated to degree level

Job Types:

Salary:
£20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
