Responsibilities


As a Planner you'll be working within the Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team in our preconstruction department where you will be wholly responsible for planning and programming of tenders for Civil infrastructure of up to medium value (circa £25m).

Experience of working within the water and nuclear/defence sectors is preferred.

Your day to day will include:

  • Review all tender documentation, identifying key data and sharing this with the tender team. Ensure that this key information is included in the tender programme
  • Develop a construction strategy and methodology in conjunction with the tender team
  • Develop a logistics strategy for each project
  • Develop a logic linked, optimised, tender stage programme in sufficient detail that reflects and describes the scope and strategy of the project and allows appropriate assessment of risk and contractual issues
  • Provide fully resourced programmes, produce resource histograms, resource level programmes, understand and communicate the effect on programme schedules to the project team.

  • Capable of being responsible for the delivery of the planning for small
  • medium value or simple project with little supervision
  • Capable of undertaking planning of larger value or more complex projects under senior planner supervision
  • Of sufficient experience to be trusted within the tender team
  • Able to influence the tender process
  • Able to identify risk items and time related commercial issues within the tender documents and programme and seek appropriate advice
