Area Sales Manager

Location:
Remote around the Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester area.


Salary:
GBP45,000 - GBP55,000 per year.

Hours:
Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm.

Job type:
Full-time, permanent

Purpose of the Area Sales Manager:

The Area Sales Manager is primarily required to develop and gain new business in the HVAC and Building Services sectors for our clients Commercial Ventilation.

The purpose of the role is to increase the awareness of our clients brand within the UK and increasemarket share and grow sales of all product ranges
The role involves approximately 80% new business and 20% account management. Targets and sectors are identified with resources provided by the company.

Responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager:

  • Sell our clients products & solutions to the HVAC and Building Services markets, covering M&E consultants and contractors
  • Promote all Group capabilities, including service and hire
  • Work towards and meet monthly and quarterly sales targets set
  • Maintain a level of account management of live and new accounts gained
  • Arrange client meetings with both existing customers and potential customers to identify requirements with the view to gaining orders
  • Offer a good level of communication, technical advice and guidance on customer requirements in order to build and maintain relationships
  • Provide informative technical presentations to consulting groups
  • Attend sales meetings periodically with the sales team, presenting a report on the activities in your location that includes matters of strategic interest to the business
  • Update the Company bespoke sales database to maintain current and correct information of contacts, addresses, and activities whenever the opportunity arises
  • To work from home one day a week and to spend the other four days meeting potential and current customers

Requirements of the Area Sales Manager:

  • B2B field sales (min 3 years)
  • Able to demonstrate a proven sales track record
  • Deal with engineering consultants
  • Technical equipment sales
  • Identifying sales opportunities and leads
  • Client bookings and meetings
  • Capturing potential customer details
  • Identifying customer needs, requirements and specifications
  • Full valid UK driving licence
