Enterprise Test Lead

Location - Manchester - Hybrid working model.

The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Test Lead who has proven leadership skills. They will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to quickly grasp new concepts.

The Test Lead will use their skills and capabilities to ensure the implementation of test plans and collaboration across all stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective execution of testing activities.


What will you be doing?

As our Enterprise Test Lead you will:

  • Undertake Test Lead activities and mentoring. Provide leadership and guidance to Test Analysts. Assign tasks, review work and provide feedback. Mentor and train the Testing Team to enhance skills and knowledge. Undertake performance management.
  • Contribute to defining the appropriate testing approach, primarily manual but automated where feasible.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test data and test cases. Implements scalable and reliable manual (and automated where feasible) tests and frameworks.
  • Collaborates across parties involved in development, Pre-Integration System Testing, System Integration Testing and User Integration Testing to enable comprehensive test coverage.
  • Identify improvements in requirements, design or specification documentation and processes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of testing.
  • Analyses and reports on test activities, results, issues and risks, including the work of others.

What we are looking for

  • A technical Test Lead who can get under the bonnet of the System Under Test.
  • Highly skilled in database technologies such as ETL, SQL, SSIS.
  • A tester with a track record of successfully acting as a Test Lead on complex changes and projects.
  • Ability to talk through and present the results of their testing to stakeholders.
  • A tester who can become a test specialist and trusted advisor with respect to the System Under Test.
