Job Summary

Hedley & Ellis Ltd are an independent electrical wholesaler with four locations across East Anglia and 53 years of trading history.

Our Cambridge branch is looking for an External Sales Representative due to continued growth.

Key Duties

Visiting existing and potential customers on a daily basis in order to maximise sales opportunities and improve relations.
Territory planning in order to maximise customer contact.
To achieve sales targets in relation to turnover and profitability, these will be reviewed in monthly meetings.
Growth of the number of trading accounts.
Prepare and progress quotations.
Appointment generation through proactive telephone canvassing
Pursue leads that follow from your customer contact.
To promote the good name of the company.
Ensure awareness of new and updated products when necessary

The individual

Hard working, articulate, organised, likeable, ability to communicate effectively face and face and over the phone. You will be smart in appearance and have a proven track records of delivering first class customer service at all times.

Competitive basic salary depending on experience + Bonus + Mobile Phone + Company Car

Knowledge of the electrical wholesale industry required.
Previous experience in sales is essential, however not necessarily external could be a good opportunity for someone looking to make the next step up in their career.
