Job Overview

In your new role as a Housekeeper you will be expected to provide high quality cleaning services in our student accommodation.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Shifts will be Monday to Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm (32.5 Hours a week). Hourly pay is £10.90. We offer 25 holiday days per annum plus bank holidays.

Please note over the summer we will require housekeeping staff to work at least two weekends during the busy Summer period.

Main Duties

Cleaning shared bathrooms and kitchens, ensuites and stairwells and helping maintain the accommodation to a high standard
Cleaning using the colour coded cleaning method
Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
Working as part of a team
Summer business servicing rooms and changing beds
Reporting maintenance issues, hazards and concerns to the Supervisor or Manager

What we are looking for

Ability to communicate and understand directives and health and safety regulations
Flexible approach, responding to the needs of the service
Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and excellent customer service
Health & Safety awareness, including COSHH
Capability of undertaking manual handling tasks
