Job Overview
GSL Education - Leicester is seeking Psychology/Criminology/Sociology/Education studies Graduates to work as SEN LSAs (Learning Support Assistants) in a specialist school for children with EHCPs. The role aims to provide practical experience in the field, contributing to aspirations in Clinical Psychology, Advocacy, and Youth/Social Justice.
The successful candidate will be working with students who have trauma, social, emotional, and mental health challenges, ADHD, ADD, OCD, and associated conditions. This role requires building relationships based on comfort through a Restorative approach and demonstrating the value of education to students.
Key Responsibilities
The LSA role will involve classes of no more than 6, with a mixture of 1:1 and small group work in class, dependent on the lesson and individual contexts. Key and Personal Skills, Sports, Cooking, Technology, Music, Drama, Photography, and Art will be covered.
