Wyevalley catering ltd is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The Kitchen Assistant will perform a variety of tasks related to food preparation, presentation, and storage in the kitchen.Responsibilities
- Work as a part of a team to prepare food and serve meals
- Prepare food by prepping vegetables, chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, etc.
- Clean and organize the kitchen by washing dishes, cleaning utensils, putting away dishes, cleaning windows, etc.
- Store food in refrigerators and freezers
- Maintain inventory of food items
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Store supplies so they are available for demand
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Assistant, Restaurant Server or similar role in the industry
- Knowledge of food preparation and health and safety rules
- Ability to follow all preshift procedures (on time off)
- Ability to work with a team and interact with customers
- Very good communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fastpaced environment
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week
Salary:
From £10.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Every weekend
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Coleford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Chef: 1 year (preferred)
- Catering: 1 year (preferred)
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
- Kitchen experience: 1 year (preferred)
