We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team in Maidstone.

As an integral member of our school community, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to students with diverse learning needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with SENCo and teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies for students with SEN.
  • Provide onetoone or small group support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom, to facilitate their learning and development.
  • Assist students with academic tasks, social skills development, and promoting independence.
  • Create and maintain a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic needs of students with SEN are met.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and SENCo.

Requirements:


  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach to supporting students with SEN.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to engage in professional development opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
