Salary £27,852-£32,020 Per annum | Permanent, Full Time (Part Time available), 32.5 hours per week | Inclusion Service - Primary+ | Pro Rata


1.4 FTE Specialist HLTA with the Primary+ Team within the Inclusion Service


The Specialist Teaching Service sits within the Inclusion Service and is made up of Specialist Teaching teams including 2x Early Years, 2x QToD, QTVI and Primary+ Team.


The Primary+ Team is a specialist peripatetic teaching service where teachers and specialist HLTA's support schools and settings within Lancashire in meeting the needs of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.


We want a HLTA who can:

  • Implement specialist advice and support to children and young people, their families, schools, and other providers across the county
  • Provide and contribute to the advice the Local Authority requires in carrying out its statutory duties for children and young people with special educational needs and disability (SEND)
  • Complete assessments and information gathering relevant to CYP with SEND
  • Work with schools, teacher, TA's and staff in a professional and positive manner
  • Provide engaging and inspiring learning opportunities
  • Provide SEND support that connects with a CYP
  • Model and develop strategies, routines and resources to support children and staff
  • Contribute to support plans for young people with a range of special educational needs and disabilities
  • Work with agencies, parents and carers
  • Monitor progress and use data to show impact
  • Share professional advice in everyday practice
  • Advise and support on the 'assess, plan, do, review' model and identify appropriate next steps

This position is term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
