Saffron Walden, Essex

£21,000 to £25,000 + full study support (ATT / CTA)

Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a highly reputable and well-known independent firm of accountants based in the historic town of Saffron Walden, that specialise in owner managed businesses.

Role Requirements

The firm re now looking to recruit a Trainee Tax Adviser into their dynamic and entrepreneurial tax team. The firm will offer a full training package towards the ATT or CTA professional qualifications, depending on your previous experience, to include time off for study and exams.

The role is primarily based within the firm's Personal Tax team where you will also develop your technical skills across a broad range of tax areas including Corporation Tax, and VAT, the role will get you started in developing your career as a tax adviser.

Assisting the Tax Manager on a day to day basis, preparing personal tax returns and also dealing directly with clients, HM Revenue & Customs and third parties.
Assist on tax compliance and advisory projects of private clients.
Knowledge will be gained on all aspects of taxation including business taxes.

Personal Requirements

Ideally, you will have gained some practical experience within tax or accounts (maybe with some tax exposure) working for a UK based accounting firm where you have studied towards the AAT or ATT qualifications.

Consideration will also be given to those with strong academics (A-Levels +) who may have gained work experience at a practice firm, and who have a passion and desire to enter into the world of tax.
