Home based - London, with UK travel
£40k - 50k per year + bonus

William Martin Compliance are a rapidly growing consultancy business and part of the larger Marlowe PLC. We specialise in bespoke property related Health and Safety risk management solutions across all business sectors within the UK. Due to further growth,we are looking for an Account Director to help continue our success.
As a Team Manager reporting to the Health and Safety Consultancy Director, you will be responsible for undertaking consultancy services as well as managing an allocated team of Health and Safety and Fire Safety Consultants (employed and associate).
Key Activities
- Undertaking risk assessments, surveys and audits as scheduled, ensuring:
- All relevant documentation is inspected pre-visit (via Meridian) and on site;
- All relevant areas, people, activities, plant, systems and equipment are identified and assessed / surveyed;
- Where areas cannot be safely accessed this is clearly stated in the report;
- That site equipment is installed, maintained and where appropriate used correctly / safely and with the correct certification;
- All relevant hazards are identified and are risk assessed;
- A close 'outmeeting' is conducted with the client (when the client is in attendance or otherwise by telephone), informing them of the actions that will be raised in the report and discussing reasons why the action is being created and resolution options,so that client is fully briefed;
- Reports comply with client protocols and with William Martin Compliance general service standards;
- The Report Writer App is used to generate reports wherever possible;
- Reports are written up in a timely manner and in accordance with client SLAs;
- Reports are carefully checked before being uploaded to Meridian;
- Any postvisit client queries are dealt with in an appropriate manner and in accordance with client SLAs; and
- A highquality working relationship is established and maintained with the client and stakeholders.
Team Manager Elements
The Team Manager elements of the role are aimed at supporting an allocated team of Health and Safety and Fire Safety Consultants.
- the work produced by consultants is technically accurate and is error-free;
- the performance of consultants is managed through accompanied site visits; and
- annual appraisals are organised with all consultants in their team.

- Professional, suitably qualified, competent and knowledgeable.
- Organised and punctual with sound work ethics.
- Honest, trustworthy and able to work with integrity.
- Customer focused with excellent communication skills listening, speaking and writing able to build relationships with both clients and colleagues.
Essential Criteria
- Suitably qualified and experienced in health and safety and legionella risk assessments (as appropriate).
- Maintenance of relevant professional memberships.
- Proficient IT skills.
- Good interpersonal skills including managerial skills.
- Willingness to travel (Likely to be 60% travel).
- Ability to work on own initiative and proactive approach to problem solving.
Desirable
- Knowledge of property management/facilities management.
- Third Party Accreditation in relation to conducting fire risk assessments.
- Management experience in teamoriented workplace.
- Relevant Degree or equivalent.
