What will your responsibilities be at bioMerieux?

  • Analyze the strategy and understand the client's needs, including elements such as regulation, socioeconomic environment, customer structure and organization, value added, competition
  • Create a network and full understanding of Lab Automation solutions within each sales territory, in collaboration with the account manager, to increase consumption of the existing installed base and explore for new potential
  • Create, maintain and develop a network of relationships with influential people with decisionmaking power (opinion leaders).
  • Provide scientific support to customers through indepth product knowledge.
  • Ensure the successful implementation of Lab Automation projects, taking the lead where necessary to ensure successful deployment.
  • Provide high level and quality onsite or offsite training for customers within the designated area and across other territories as required. Participate in training for customers or members of staff at bioMérieux training facilities as required.
  • Provide technical support of Lab Automation product range to include investigation and troubleshooting. Technical support to include presales activities, such as onsite product presentations and demonstrations, and participate at exhibitions as requested. Provide technical support for sales and marketing staff in the organization and performance of onsite evaluations and trials. Comprehensive reports to be prepared as requested.
  • Liaise with LIMS providers and work with their personnel as well as customer IT personnel to establish interface and network connections between bioMérieux systems and LIMS systems
  • Maintain product, technical and professional knowledge. Attend company and external training courses and meetings. Keep abreast of relevant scientific literature. Be familiar with all relevant company technical manuals and literature.
  • Provide feedback to all relevant stakeholders (sales managers, product managers, etc.) on all the information gathered in the field: prices and offers from competitors, new products
  • Complete all calls, marketing information and installed base update in CRM as required

Who are you?

Studies-Experience:


  • Master's Degree in Science / business related to biology, bacteriology or premedical or medical studies
  • Previous experience as Application Specialist preferred. Proficiency in Microbiology, Molecular Biology.
  • Proven work experience in a laboratory environment or business experience in life sciences
