Hovis Wellingborough have a requirement for a Hygiene Supervisor.


Role:


All team members ,internal and external areas along with all internal machinery hygiene requirements including the completion of all records, schedules and reports as required.


Main duties:


  • Maintain, develop and utilise hygiene schedules to ensure the completion to standards of all associated activities and areas(must cover all site areas inside and out)
  • Allocate resources to ensure the completion of the hygiene schedules and general conditions are to standard
  • Ensure the procurement ,maintenance, stock levels and availability of all tools, equipment and cleaning mediums to complete the hygiene schedules and conditions to standard
  • Work closely with (at times direct) the sites pest controllers to ensure the appropriate completion of all pest related hygiene activities (including internal machinery cleaning/ inspection)
  • Utilise all inhouse and third party inspection reports and audits to identify and incorporate all relevant hygiene and pest activities to maintain standards (In a timely fashion).
  • Identify, confirm, train out and implement safe, food safe and effective methods to complete all hygiene and pest control related tasks.
  • Identify and agree with management an annual plan for continuous improvement to be delivered in that operational year whilst contributing to the achievement of the site based KPI's.
  • Identify and agree with management an annual training, assessment and development plan for all hygiene and pest control team members to meet the requirements of compliance, legislation and in house regulations.
  • Ensure the most effective and efficient use of resources at all times
  • Ensure a process exists whereby reactive allocation of resources is in place to effectively handle reactive operational failures ( i.e. choke removal as a priority)
  • Effectively manage team member's holidays and absenteeism in accordance with the company's standards.
  • Ensure all team members are appropriately trained and signed off for all tasks required; including holding the relevant accredited, approved or licensed activities (FLT, etc).
  • Implement operational support activities required to meet the schedules and operational conditions (i.e. waste removal daily emptying skips)
  • Develop and maintain effective communications and strong working relationships with all on and off site stakeholders
  • Complete data entry as required to ensure compliance and maintenance of all relevant company systems.

KNOWLEDGE & SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS

Essential

  • Good people management and engagement skills (recognised accredited qualification


  • CMI

  • NVQ)
  • Recognised health and safety qualifications (IOSH safety leadership)
  • Knowledge and experience of hygiene and pest control activities and schedules.
  • Understanding of manufacturing process
  • Be a good communicator at all levels
  • Team Player
  • Experience of stock control and ordering
  • Knowledge of companies operating systems
  • Able to make and take informed decisions required to meet objectives and deadlines
  • Manages administrative tasks in an organised and accurate manner
