Description

A leading consultancy are on the lookout for an experienced security assurance consultant (Outside IR35) to join an established project team working on a portfolio of defence sector security assurance, governance, risk and compliance projects.


The security assurance consultant would be joining a team who are responsible for bringing a portfolio of security, infrastructure and network projects in line with the appropriate MOD and central government compliance frameworks, working to design, develop,test, and implement updated security policies, processes and methodologies according to each project's requirements.


This contract engagement would provide the opportunity to take ownership of the development of new security, assurance and GRC processes, policies and methodologies for a broad portfolio of projects, taking them from requirement definition, through design,development and through to testing and implementation.


This contract engagement supports a predominantly remote working model, with some site visits required for security assessments and key stakeholder meetings (likely around the Bristol/Bath area).


Required Skills and Experience:


  • Valid and Active SC level security clearance
  • JSP 440 and/or JSP 604 security assurance or GRC project experience
  • Experience performing gap analysis and remediation on public sector/defence infrastructure and networks

Experience with the following would be a bonus:

  • Designing, developing, testing and implementing new security policies, aligning legacy and new projects with information security standards
  • Wider security assurance experience including supply chain and project risk management
  • A background working with a range of stakeholders and end clients in the defence sector
