Description
Xact Placements are currently working an engineering company who specialises in advanced video and image hardware / software solutions. Their products significantly improves picture quality, compression and processing speeds with reduced power consumption.

Our client's products are used by various industries such as broadcasting, security, medical imaging, video conferencing, telematics as well as aerospace & defence.

Main Duties of the Role

  • Continuously develop and improve existing compression algorithms and codebases (mainly written in C++)
  • Contribute to create new tools and strategies for efficiently processing and compressing images and videos
  • Design and run tests for developed algorithms, analyse data and prepare reports
Your Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in C++ and preferably also in other programming languages
  • Ability to generate, use and analyse data in the process of designing algorithms, and provide reports and recommendations based on data analyses
  • Experience in researching and developing compression and processing algorithms (e.g., video, image, etc.), gained through university research and/or industry roles
  • Ability to work in teams and/or in agile crossfunctional environments
