Senior AWS Engineer

Permanent - £70,000

Hybrid - Manchester/Buckinghamshire


My client, a leading IT infrastructure provider, are recruiting an experienced Senior AWS Engineer for a hybrid based permanent role.


You will be a point of escalation within the support team responsible for investigating support cases escalated by the service desk support team and managing them to resolution.

Your primary aim will be supporting our managed services customer infrastructurein line with customer requirements alongside a small amount of project work to integrate new services for both new and existing customers.

You will take a lead in helping to build out our Managed Service offering for Amazon Web Services and this is an excitingopportunity to help shape the service from the ground up.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that AWS incidents, changes, service requests and problem records are progressed through to resolution
  • Act as an escalation point within the team from a technical perspective.
  • Consistently meet KPIs as set by the Support team Manager
  • Work alongside the integration and service delivery team to ensure that customers receive a high level of support.
  • When required, attend the Change Advisory Board (CAB), problem review, and service improvement meetings
  • Work alongside the Cloud Operations team to cover high priority requests out of hours via an oncall rota.

Requirements:


  • Excellent customer service and written skills
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team
  • At least 2 years production experience working with AWS


  • Qualifications in AWS

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect beneficial
  • Experience working with IAC
  • Terraform, GitHub Enterprise
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure Beneficial
