Description
The Loddon Foundation is home to 30 children who all have severe autism and complex learning difficulties. The school provides both care and education to the children who live at the school. The children range between the ages of 8-19 years old. We are situated on site in Sherfield on Loddon, Hampshire.


We have an exciting opportunity available for a Welfare Manager to immerse themselves into a fast-paced environment, ensuring that each and every child's welfare needs are met.


You will need to be organised with attention to detail to prioritise a workload, work effectively and efficiently have experience in sewing.

You will lead a team of two, and work across the organisation to meet the needs of the children, ensuring they have all the items they need to be safe and comfortable.


Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • _Managing team, holding regular meetings, and ensuring actions are followed._
- _Taking ownership of the Welfare department, managing the workloads, and setting up and updating all welfare records._
- _Ensuring all children's belongings are labelled and managing stock rooms to ensure sufficient levels of stock._
- _Checking that each child has adequate footwear and clothing for current weather conditions._
- _Greeting new parents and providing them with an introduction to welfare and accompanying students when visiting prospective adult placements._


Due to the demand of the role, it is an essential requirement to have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

*Hours:

  • Monday
  • Friday, 8.30am 4.30pm
(a degree of flexibility will be needed to work outside of these hours / weekends if needed)

*Salary range:
- £21,172 - £25,851 according to experience and qualifications

*Annual leave*: 35 days (please note bank holidays are normal working days)
