LinkLife LTD are excited to be supporting a fast growing company in Aston Clinton who are seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator on 12 Month Maternity Cover contract.

Role:
Health and Safety Coordinator - 12 month contract


Location:
Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire


Contract:
Full time, Monday - Friday fully office based, between 7am-7pm hours


Salary:
up to £29,000


Main Duties of Health and Safety Coordinator:

  • Coordinate and oversee facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, and improvements
  • Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures
  • Manage and supervise facility staff, including training and performance evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
  • Manage relationships with landlords and suppliers, addressing issues promptly and negotiating solutions in the company's best interest
  • Proactive maintenance plan in collaboration with the Warehouse Manager, ensuring the proper functioning of building services
  • Oversee and coordinate contractors' work, ensuring satisfactory completion of agreed tasks
  • Maintain and manage inhouse services, including reception, security cameras, maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal, and environmental activities
  • Manage stock of cleaning products, tea, coffee, and other supplies onsite
  • Operate within the approved facilities budget, seek competitive quotes, and explore costsaving initiatives
  • Assist in asset and inventory management, maintaining accurate records of assets and their lifecycle
  • Ensure a safe working environment in compliance with health and safety legislation, environmental regulations, company standards, and industry best practices, even at offsite event locations
  • Conduct risk assessments within the office and warehouse
  • Supervise First Aiders and Fire Marshalls

Requirements of Health and Safety Coordinator:

  • Strong knowledge of facility management principles and best practices
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to think logically and analytically
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently with a 'can do' attitude
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Previous facilities / health and safety experience is required
  • IOSH qualification is not an essential but is beneficial
