Title:

Works Supervisor

Reporting to:

Works Manager

Direct Reports:

Maintenance and tooling, Goods in, Goods out, Loaders, Drivers, and All Production Operators

Job Purpose:

To manage the shift and direct all staff. To ensure the smooth running of the production process. To ensure that all products are produced to the specified specifications. Target, cost targets and deadlines are met to achieve the orders.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise all staff, setting quality targets and to ensure the smooth running of the production process, whilst making appropriate decisions to ensure a smooth operation
Make sure all quality and product that is produced within the line meets with the company's quality systems, processes, and procedures
Manage, develop, and motivate direct reporting staff with a positive attitude, selfmotivate to enable to be a good role to staff
Research fast and lean manufacturing techniques together with new machinery opportunities as the market dictates
Ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company in line with the companies Health and Safety policy
Work closely with other Works Supervisors to ensure production handovers are effective and positive communication are used
To ensure that the training skills are met for current and future demands of the shift. Also, that training budgets are used wisely for maximum skill sets. Allocation of staff to workstations daily were best skilled.
To have an active role in the company's continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company. To ensure that levels of noncompliance are reduced to a relative standard to output in line with the company's noncompliance ledger. In 2023/2024/2025 we would expect you to achieve a minimum 10% reduction each year retrospective to serving period
Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace
Maintenance of all machinery, vehicles and components in your areas and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Ensure all records kept up to date.
To be responsible for opening and locking up and alarm procedures for the business. To communicate with Management to ensure factories are secure.
Follow the companies' guidelines for HR and that you administer the HR in a professional and legal requirement for all your staff
Ensure accurate and completion of all production/transport related reports are adhered to, i.e., production schedules, hours, and wages costs, targets, noncompliance, route allocations for drivers,

Salary: £32,000.00 to £38,000.00
