    Overview

    Close to Leigh (3 days on-site / 2 days WFH) + ad hoc client travel

    Our client is a close-knit team of HR consultants who genuinely love what they do - partnering with organisations as though they are their very own HR department. As a boutique consultancy, relationships matter deeply; they pride theirselves on delivering an exceptionally high standard of service, thoughtful advice, and pragmatic solutions that truly support clients' people and their business.

    We're looking for an experienced HR Consultant to join their growing team and take ownership of a portfolio of c.20–25 clients. In this role you'll develop trusted partnerships with business leaders, offering day-to-day HR support through to strategic input, and everything in between.

    No two days are ever the same — this is a fast-paced and varied role, ideal for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys making an impact, and wants to be part of a supportive and collaborative team.

    What you'll be doing

    Providing day-to-day HR and ER advice across a wide variety of sectors and scenarios

    • Managing complex ER cases with confidence and commercial awareness
    • Supporting clients with policy development and best practice guidance
    • Advising on HR strategy, project work and change initiatives
    • Building long-term relationships as a trusted business partner and extension of each client's HR function

    About you

    We're looking for someone who brings:

    • Strong ER expertise and sound understanding of employment law
    • Ideally prior experience working within a HR Consultancy
    • Proven experience in HR business partnering and stakeholder management
    • The confidence to advise, challenge, and influence with credibility
    • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
    • The ability to thrive in a fast-moving, varied environment
    • A genuinely collaborative and supportive small team environment
    • Interesting and diverse client work you won't find in a typical in-house role
    • A consultancy that values service, relationships, and quality over volume
    • Hybrid working — 2 days WFH, 3 days on-site near Leigh
    • Permanent role with scope to develop and grow
