• To develop an active Christian faith in Children and Young People within our church, and to promote activities to attract families from outside.
• To take on further responsibility according to gifting and as agreed with the church.
• The job holder will report to the deacons, and ultimately be responsible to the Church Members' Meeting.

Key area:

to develop a living Christian faith in all Children and Youth in the church, and to reach out to others.

To be a role model to develop the faith and vision of church children and their families.

To develop activities that will attract new young people and families to faith in Jesus.

To help develop the Christian teaching programme of the church, especially in Sunday School, All-Age Worship, and Messy Church, and to regularly attend Sunday Service.

To assist the Manager and staff of the Registered Day Nursery by developing and delivering bible-based Christian Education to 0 to 4-year-olds, and to strengthen links with Nursery families.

To be responsible for the Carey Safeguarding Policy and the recruitment and training of church helpers.

To work with the Deacons to grow the church, to attend their meetings, and assist with the pastoral care of young families.

To pursue on-going professional development for self and church helpers.

To foster links and be the link person with other churches, local organisations, schools and statutory bodies relevant to the families and children's work.

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 24 months


Salary:
£24,000.00-£26,500.00 per year
