About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a
Health & Safety Compliance Advisor to join our team to work in
Coleshill.

**
Role Purpose:To support the H&S Compliance Manager in maintaining compliance with H&S legislation and standards through a series of assurance and engagement activities including but not limited to safety assurance checks, reviewing and updating of procedures in line with legislation and best practice, producing training materials


What you'll be doing

  • Assist the H&S Compliance manager with H&S assurance related activities across the project
  • Assist colleagues to implement the project health and safety systems, including delivery of project objectives and plans
  • Undertake assurance activities across the project in line with the project assurance plan
  • Support incident/accident investigation and trend analysis of such to guide future assurance actions.
  • Assist in the development and facilitation of emergency response exercises.
  • Production of safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards
  • Undertaking risk assessments and site inspections to consider how risks can be reduced
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection findings and producing reports that suggest improvements
  • Facilitation of health and safety meetings and training courses for colleagues
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders and external bodies where required
  • Produce management reports, newsletters and bulletins
  • Advising on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases

Who we're looking for

  • Degree in line with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) requirements for GradIOSH
  • Experience within a construction environment
