We are looking for a methodical and personable Purchasing Agent, to join one of our manufacturing clients in the East Riding area on a permanent basis.

As a Purchasing Agent you will be methodical in your approach, with a can-do attitude and enthusiasm for development.


The Purchasing Agent will deal with all parts of the purchasing processes beginning to end, completing a variety of tasks from placing orders through to expediting, occasionally you will be required to provide cover within the department.

Key accountabilities:


  • Raising purchase orders using the ERP/MRP system alongside internal processes to suit the demands of the business.
  • Own and manage supplier's open orders, schedules, contracts, stock availability and expediting of orders.
  • Establish and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate prices, able to source alternative products where necessary, ensuring all system/planning parameters are kept up to date.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders in all aspects of supply chain activity
  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role or similar, minimum 12 months, with good understanding of purchasing and supply chain.
  • Good IT Skills, experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of Processing Invoices on ERP/MRP systems

Hours:


  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
