This role is a 12-month internship staring in July 2023, finishing July 2024. Based at our offices in Granta Park, Cambridge. Our program focuses on meaningful project work, professional and personal development, in addition to providing networking opportunities.
Your team:
During your stay, you will be part of the research synthetic chemistry team, expert in all aspects of SBS, with an emphasis on nucleotides and dye chemistry.
Role and Responsibilities:
After a shadowing period, you will work in collaboration with other team members focusing on:
- Performing chemical synthesis experiments.
- Performing purifications, analysis and characterization of products.
- Delivering presentations to the team on a regular basis.
- Generate reports.
Preferred experience and qualifications:
- Completed coursework, practical laboratories in organic chemistry, and spectroscopy modules (e.g. NMR, MS, UV-Vis, Fluorescence)
- Good communication skills
- Keen interest in understanding the mechanistic aspects of scientific processes (e
g:
chemistry, biochemistry, enzymology, )
