Darwen / Blackburn - 6 months

£30 per hour + £3.62 per hour holiday pay - PAYE

The Company
We are working in partnership with a multi-site manufacturing business. This company manufacture a wide range of products predominantly for the high-end new home build / DIY market.


Over the last couple of years, they have managed to grow their client base considerably and as a result the demand for their products has increased dramatically.


The increased demand for their products mean they need to streamline the manufacturing process and make it as effective as possible.

They need to improve their production output means they are looking to recruit a Temporary Production Scheduler for a 6 month period.


The Role
Your key responsibilities as a
Production Scheduler will be:

  • Working with the materials scheduling team to ensure that the required materials are available for the production schedule requirements
  • Deliver daily production schedules to the production facility
  • Coordinates crossfunctional working activities with Quality, Production, Material Purchasing, Engineering, Inventory Control and Project Management
  • Introduce an internal system to help coordinate the scheduling
  • Ensure timely execution of all MRP transactions to facilitate the service requirements of the finished goods inventory and the customer
  • Utilising the ERP system (EFACs)
  • Communicating with all internal stakeholders regarding any concerns relating to material and resource availability, customer demand, equipment failures and engineering changes
  • Continuous improvement of the production scheduling process
  • Estimation of production lead times based on the capability of the manufacturing process
  • Available immediately
  • 3 years of production scheduling experience in a low to medium volume manufacturing facility
  • Level 3 Manufacturing / Production / Operations qualification
  • An understanding of S&OP and MRP planning processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross functional teams and a variety of stakeholders within the business
  • Experience in using and developing ERP systems
  • Develop effective scheduling tools and visual management
