National up to £58,500 and London up to £65,000 per annum

We are recruiting for two Policy Executive Assistants to support the co-Directors in the Cross-Cutting Policy and Strategy Directorate (CCPS) on policy and operational matters.

These roles will provide a unique insight into the leadership of CCPS at a senior level, and exposure to a broad range of policy, operational and strategic issues.


One of the roles is permanent with the other initially being offered on an interim basis with a strong possibility of this becoming a permanent role.

CCPS sits within the Supervision, Policy and Competition (SPC)

Division of the FCA and is at the heart of the FCA's policy-making approach:

leading key cross-cutting policy, strategy and consumer research and engagement work at pace, and delivering not only through our own teams but by working with teams across the FCA.

With responsibility for leading or coordinating policy, strategy and insights across SPC and the wider FCA, it is central to the success of SPC's operating model.


Through our work, we ensure the FCA has a consistent, coherent, agile approach to policy-making, that delivers the intended outcomes of our strategic priorities in the most efficient and impactful way.


CCPS leads on or is engaged with many of the FCA's Strategic Commitments, in particular preparing financial services for the future through the Future Regulatory Framework programme, putting consumers needs first and enabling consumers to help themselves through the Consumer Duty and Cost of Living workstreams and our research functions, improving the redress framework and reducing harm from firm failure, including collaboration with the Regulatory Family.

CCPS is also responsible for ensuring the effective coordination, prioritisation and delivery of FCA policy through the policy profession and prioritisation.

What you will be doing- Providing support and advice to Greg Sachrajda and Nisha Arora (CCPS co-Directors) and the wider CCPS Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on a range of management, strategic, business, and regulatory issues- Providing assistance and support to the rest of CCPS on management issues and in relation to dealings with the Director and leadership team, and ensuring the effective flow of information between the Directors and teams in the Directorate and with other areas of the FCA- Driving forward and coordinating policy work on the Directors' top priorities, liaising with relevant teams across CCPS, SPC and the FCA to ensure effective delivery- Ensuring the Directors' offices run efficiently, including providing support and direction to the Directors' PA- Supporting the Directors in preparing for external events and stakeholder engagements, including writing speeches and briefings- Working closely with other Directors' and Executive Directors' offices across the building- Assisting the CCPS leadership team and management team on a daily basis by managing their collective priorities and ensuring actions are carried out- One of the postholders will manage the Director PA

Each post holder will enjoy a varied portfolio, providing support to the Directors and senior leadership team to ensure the smooth running of the Directors' offices and the Directorate, as well as driving forward and coordinating policy work on the respective Director's top priorities.
