About the Senior Corporate Tax Manager role:

As a Senior Corporate Tax Manager for Viking's UK and Ireland operations you will provide detailed tax insights into the implications of business and legislation changes.

You will minimise tax risks within the business, identify and implement tax P&L andcashflow savings. You will be the company's expert for solicited and unsolicited tax advice on such potential improvements.


Your responsibilities as our Senior Corporate Tax Manager will include:

• Preparing UK and Ireland corporate income tax returns for the companies across the group
• Calculating corporate income tax payments on account for the UK and Irish companies
• Working with the rest of Group Tax to ensure that the UK companies comply with group and statutory accounts tax reporting requirements. This involves working to tight deadlines and involves preparing tax calculations, providing tax journals to the Financedepartment and assisting with the tax consolidation process
• Providing UK and Irish tax technical support to the business (corporate income tax, VAT, customs duty and payroll taxes)
• Providing technical review of VAT and Intrastat returns prior to their submission
• Obtaining a thorough understanding of how the business operates, such that the impact of changes to tax legislation are quickly identified and addressed
• Assisting the Group CFO in identifying tax opportunities and resolving tax issues arising from the Group's UK business activities to ensure we are tax compliant and pay the correct amount of tax
• Ongoing maintenance and control of complex transfer pricing model
• Supporting the Group CFO with panEuropean transfer pricing matters and ensuring transfer pricing documentation is up to date
• Supporting the Group CFO on groupwide tax and business projects

What we're looking for in our Senior Corporate Tax Manager:

Essential

• Must hold a relevant professional qualification (CTA and/or ACA)
• Significant relevant experience preferably from previous inhouse positions
• Ability to provide and present accurate, consistent and timely information
• Ability to ascertain the requirements of the business in relation to the provision of tax and financial information
