Sylvagen is a fast growing and innovative company operating in the recycling and renewable fuel sectors across the UK and Europe.

We process and trade a range of materials using a variety of logístical solutions to end users including power stations and manufacturing facilities.


About the role
A typical 5-day week will entail


3 days travelling around the UK (mainly the South of England) visiting suppliers' sites such as Arboricultural and Recycling yards.

You will represent the company and check suitability for the sales and procurement team.

1 day will be offering cover in our own operational yard in Essex by operating plant and equipment.

1 day will be based in our office near Tunbridge Wells in Kent.

This day is used for catching up with paperwork and discussing with colleagues the plan of action for the following week.


Typical duties (but are not limited to):

  • Visiting suppliers, off-takers and customers to quantify volumes and verify quality
  • Promoting and developing the company's relationship with partners and third parties
  • Carrying out regular site audits
  • Communicating important information with the office
  • Using company IT systems to report information
  • Providing relief cover at our processing yard
  • Collecting machinery parts
  • Collecting and testing samples of materials
  • Helping set up trade shows
  • Looking for opportunities to develop and promote the company
  • Operating thirdparty equipment to load lorries

What we are looking for
You must be reliable, and able to adapt to new a challenging situation. You must develop long term relationships with customers and suppliers and be willing travel.

It is essential you have a full UK driving licence and you must live close to the M25 (Southeast).

Please note this job is very much a hands-on 'work boots' type of role. If you are looking for shirt and tie travelling sales rep position, this isn't for you.


The Package

Working hours and schedule:
Monday to Friday 7.00am to 5pm (Flexible)
