Team Leader - Payments investigations

As a Barclays Team Leader - Payments Investigations, you will be responsible for the timely resolution of customer queries that relate to Payments as well as managing reconciliation breaks across internal accounts, and reporting to the Operations Manager.
In your new role you will be accountable for the delivery of a range of high value, high volume business critical processes for Payment Investigations and Data operations.

Working Flexibly
What will you be doing?:
- Taking prime responsibility for managing a team of up to 12 analysts, who may include Process Experts
- Providing inspirational leadership, coaching and support to continually lead and motivate team members
- Being accountable for resolving people issues and conflicts which arise within the team
- Providing coaching and transfer of skills to staff as appropriate on people management
- Identifying soft skill based and other training planner/ training needs for the team to develop required skills and flexibility for quality customer service
- Agreeing personal performance and development objectives with your Line Manager
- Taking care of Performance Development planning: agreeing challenging performance objectives and measures whilst providing regular and ongoing feedback
- Building an awareness of your people's strengths/ development needs using this to create a team training plan and through ongoing coaching and development
What we're looking for:
- Effective use of Performance Development systems and tools
- Solid influencing skills are required to drive achievement of the team and develop individuals to fulfil their potential
- Proven experience in an operational environment, based in a financial institution at a supervisory or management level
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Knowledge of working within a Payments team
- Proven experience of processing and handling of relevant documentation
