Job Purpose:
Senior Workforce Advisor
MPA are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client in Belfast for (x3) full-time Senior Workforce Advisors.
The potholder's will be a key member of the Workforce Directorate and will contribute to the achievement of the overall Directorate's performance objectives.
The potholder's will have specific responsibilities in relation to a workforce area(s), providing core advice, guidance, and support to Managers on a range of workforce issues, with a particular focus on attendance management and employee relations matters, as outlined below.
In addition, the postholder's will be expected to act as a member of the wider team in ensuring the delivery of a proactive, responsive, and professional HR service to internal and external stakeholders.
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

£17.24 per hour
MAIN DUTIES:
Responsible for maintaining financial systems and:
- To provide core advice, guidance and support to staff and Managers across a range of workforce issues, consistent with nationally agreed terms and conditions, regional and local workforce policy and procedure, relevant legislation, and best practice.
- To participate in Job Matching/Job Evaluation processes as a Job Analyst and/or Management Side Panel Member as part of an annual rota.
- To participate in employment investigations, disciplinary/grievance/attendance hearings, and recruitment panels.
- To undertake the delivery of workforce presentations and training sessions.
- To contribute to the development of workforce policies, procedures and supporting management resource materials.
- To contribute to an ongoing programme of modernisation and continuous improvement within the Workforce Directorate, leading on specific projects as required.
- To provide comprehensive and consistent advice, support and guidance to Managers and staff in relation to the implementation of the Trust's Disciplinary, Grievance, Capability and Conflict, Bullying & Harassment Procedures, relevant legislation/statutory codes and evidence based best practice principles.
- To provide specialist advice, support, and guidance to Managers in the proactive management of staff conduct and capability issues and to promote a Just Culture approach to disciplinary interventions, which focuses on systemwide organisational learning.
- To provide specialist advice, support, and guidance to Managers in the proactive management of workplace conflict and promote early intervention and resolution of workplace disputes and grievances.
Qualifications
Have a relevant degree or recognised professional qualification.
Plus
a minimum of two years' post graduate middle* management experience within a Human Resources (HR) function, providing professional advice and guidance on a range of workforce issues.
OR
Have a minimum of five years' experience two of which must be at a middle* management level, within a Human Resources (HR) function, providing professional advice and guidance on a range of workforce issues.
Have a relevant degree or recognised professional qualification.

Have, or commit to acquiring, an advanced (post-graduate) level qualification in HR
Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
