This is a new 10 PA post in Cambridge Community Services, working within a community paediatric service.This post is to support and develop integrated mental health support for children with additional needs across community and acute paediatric settings.
This would be suitable for a Paediatrician with dual training in community based /developmental paediatrics and mental health.This post would be based within community paediatrics with the aim to develop links to CAMH providing mental health support and paediatric liaison services.
Clinical support and supervision will be available from the clinical psychologist within the team.
The post holder will be involved in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of neurodevelopmental problems and evaluation of children with mental health difficulties associated with physical illness.
Responsibilities:
Assessment and management of children with neurodevelopment disorders including autism, ADHD (either individually or as part of a multidisciplinary team).
Contribute to developing services to support and consider the mental health aspects of children and families with disability and developmental trauma.
Contribute to the paediatric safeguarding rotaSupport teaching and training of medical students, Community and Neurodisability trainees, educational and clinical supervision. Develop integrated paediatric liaison services with CAMH
