Warehouse Assistant to join our well-established and experienced team based with our Rail department in Manchester. You will join us on a
full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a

About the role:

As our
Warehouse Assistant, you will help provide excellent service to our customers. You will mainly be assisting with operations in our warehouse, packing and dispatching goods via internal and external transport.

You will also be required to assist with processing of stock, including receipting goods, completing paperwork and shelving items in the correct locations.

A key member of the team, you will be required to liaise with other colleagues and departments across the branch network.


Working hours:40 hours per week Monday to Friday, including 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.


Key responsibilities as our Warehouse Assistant will include:

  • Assisting with picking and counterchecking of orders.
  • Stocktaking and replenishment.
  • Assist with kitting.
  • Goods In receipt of goods, loading and unloading of vehicles.
  • Use of forklift trucks, pallet trucks, trolleys and various machinery, including the pallet wrapper and pallet weigher.

Skills & attributes we're looking for in our Warehouse Assistant:

  • FLT licence is desirable, however not essential.
  • Experience of working in a fastpaced environment would be advantageous.
  • Good work ethic.
  • Must be PC literate able to check stock on the computer system.
  • Good telephone manner and able to work as part of a team.
  • Good problemsolver.
