Am immediate temporary requirement has become available for a Project Support Officer to join the Compliance and Risk team to support the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) for a 12month period.


PSIRF is a framework to facilitate inquisitive examination of a wider range of patient safety incidents "in the spirit of reflection and learning" rather than as part of a "framework of accountability" as per the current arrangement.

The new framework supports a systematic, compassionate and proficient response to patient safety incidents anchored in the principles of openness, fair accountability, learning and continuous improvement.

The move to the new arrangements complements and contributes to the ambitions described within the Trust's refreshed strategic objectives, specifically


You will need to have:


  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills
  • Ability to understand, interpret, explain complex information
  • Experience of writing and producing reports and presentations for various audiences
  • Project management support skills including the management of project documentation such as delivery plans, risk registers, issues logs, change logs and escalation reports
  • Facilitation skills to support meetings, workshops, groups
  • Administrative support skills
  • Negotiation skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment with frequent competing demands on time
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of the national Patient Safety Strategy, safety in health systems, change management and just culture
  • High level of organisation skills and ability to work under pressure to manage deadlines
  • Selfmotivation skills and a proactive, innovative approach
  • Confidence and ability to communicate with people of all levels (internal and external)
