At yapix our mission is simple: we want to create a space where customers will enjoy a unique flavour experience as they sip on our special Italian coffees, taste our curated selection of international wines and savour our delicious seasonal food options.

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join the yapix kitchen.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work with the yapix founding team, with over 40 years senior experience in hospitality, marketing and sales between us.

Role overview:

We are looking for a professional who has the skills and confidence to run the yapix kitchen working alongside our GM and head chef.

You'll work directly into the GM, and have a passion for quality produce, presentation and taste.

Responsibilities include:

Manage all aspects of the kitchen equipment and requirements
Ensure venue complies with Health & Safety, Food Safety, Fire, First Aid and Allergy policies, along with other local laws and regulations
Execute Food Safety Checks throughout the day visually, and by temperature keeping records as well as general due diligence
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure food is high quality in taste and presentation
Control stock and wastage
