Finance Assistant


Here at Total Marketing Support (TMS) we leverage our experience of working with the world's leading FMCG brands to consider and manage every aspect of the marketing Supply Cycle, to deliver a full range of below-the-line activity within the point of sale industry.

We are a UK owned business with our Headquarters in Manchester but have a global family spreading over 40 countries worldwide.


As a result of our continued growth and growing Finance structure we have recognised the need for an additional Finance Assistant to join our head office team in our Manchester headquarters.

This roles main focus will be on supporting our Regional and Assistant Management accountants so this is where you will spend the majority of your time, however there may be opportunity to gain experience within other areas of the finance team from time to time on a project basis.

About the role


Your main responsibilities will be to work on Financial and Management reporting analysis and assist with production of all management accounts and monthly reporting at a local and group level and you will do this with the Regional Management and Assistant management accountants.

You will also prepare financial schedules and accruals analysis where you will be analysing job margins to the central management system.

There will also be a key part of your role which will include the analysis of financial data to identify and resolve any issues and to explain any variances from budget/forecast, you will be required to closely manage and report on costs.

Budgeting and forecasting (including cash flow) and control will be the other part of your role where you will support the annual budget and periodic forecast process and also assist with the production and management of cash flow forecasts to share with the relevant shareholders.


Some other responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting wider Finance function, as required
  • Work on any adhoc projects as required (including the analysis of information and implementation of new customers/countries into the agreed operating model)
  • Support with the global financial statements audit
  • Identification of areas where profit could be maximised through cost
- savings or other relevant measures

About you


This role could be a great fit for you if you AAT qualified, working towards this or a higher qualification and keen to pursue a career in Management accounts.
