Salary and Benefits

We offer a base salary of up to £65,000 depending on your skills and experience.

About the role


We are looking for a Senior Data Modeller to join the Group Data Office on either a permanent or fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Enterprise Data Modelling Manager your goal will be to design, map, model and document a critical mass of highly valuable and consumable customer, product, and proposition data in the Enterprise Data Model (EDM).


The EDM is a valuable Royal London asset and you will manage and maintain the logical data model, as well as exploring new Data domains to model, such as Finance and Risk data.

We are responsible for defining and implementing a common, strategic approach and capabilities for data at Royal London.

We are investing significantly in data capabilities and this will result in further growth and development opportunities.

Key responsibilities

Continue the extension and expansion of the Royal London Enterprise Data Model
Model new data domains and data attributes in existing data model
Work on the conceptual and logical modelling to map critical data elements in source systems into the Royal London data model
Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility to the EDM and implement data strategies for developing physical data models
Work as part of an agile delivery team

Criteria

Excellent data modelling and enterprise-wide data architecture understanding and skills
Knowledge of domain based data modelling
Strong experience of Cloud & Data Warehousing concepts (such as Kimball, Lakehouse, data fabric, data mesh)
Experience in Reference Data Management modelling
Knowledge of modelling data for Cloud Data & Analytics services
Experienced working with Databases and ETL/ELT technologies
Strong data Normalisation skills
An ability to present technical concepts to stakeholders of various levels
