Accounts Administrator


Due to expansion, I am working in partnership with a prestigious client who are looking to recruit for an experienced
Accounts Administrator to join a full-time permanent contract.

The successful applicant will provide financial and administrative support, including reception duties.

They will be able to develop a good working relationship with both the internal team, customers and suppliers alike and will often be the first point of contact in the business.


They will need to be well organized with a strong attention to detail as they will be a key part of a fast-pace sales team and all enquiries need to be dealt with quickly and efficiently.


Responsibilities:


Financial

  • To manage both customer and supplier invoices on a daily basis via Quickbooks.
  • To match payments from the banking system in order to generate statements and issue remittances.
  • To investigate discrepancies and where necessary, raise queries and deal with credit notes. This includes scrutinising invoices for accuracy and liaising with the Goods In team.
  • To closely monitor and act efficiently if there are any outstanding customer payments that need attention and chase payments accordingly in a timely manner.
  • To run the Purchase Order system.
  • To administer the organization's expenses accounts and reconcile the company credit cards.
  • To administer the monthly payment run and Directors reports as well as other finance reports as required.
  • To submit the quarterly VAT return to HMRC.

Administrative

  • To provide administrative support to the Directors where necessary using Microsoft Office.
  • Maintain filing systems as appropriate on a daily basis operating a clear desk policy.
  • Ordering of stationery and equipment supplies.
  • General administration/clerical support including photocopying, filing etc where necessary.

Reception

  • To provide a telephonist/receptionist function in the office, ensuring an accurate, efficient and polite service to all customers and suppliers.
  • When necessary, to welcome any visitors to site in a friendly and professional manner and be smart and presentable in appearance.

About the role:


  • Salary from £25,000 per annum salary is dependent on experience

About you:

In depth knowledge of and experience with Quickbooks is essential

  • Ability to work independently and the position will suit someone who is experienced and can hit the ground running.

Salary:

£19,500.00-£25,000.00 per year

Experience:


  • Accounting: 2 years (preferred)

  • QuickBooks: 2 years (preferred)
