St Mary's School is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged 3 to 18, situated in the heart of the academically and culturally vibrant city of Cambridge.

A Christian school run in the Catholic tradition and founded on the principles of Mary Ward, we have a unique approach to education and an atmosphere which fosters a love of life and learning.


We are looking for an exceptional individual to work as a specialist learning support assistant, providing specialised teaching of specific skills and support to a pupil who is vision impaired (VI) from September 2023.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will ideally have:

  • A good standard of education and can identify areas for academic improvement with the learners that you support.
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is not required but a desire to build your career in this sector would be advantageous.
  • Focus on helping pupils overcome barriers and achieve their best results.
  • You must be committed, adaptable and an excellent team player.
  • A calm and patient manner, show empathy and be nonjudgemental.


If successful, you will join our Junior School's Learning Support team to facilitate the active participation and inclusion of all pupils in the academic activities of the school.

£18,231.00-£23,849.00 per year
