In Derbyshire we're committed to enabling people to live as independent lives as possible by using Direct Payments to put people in control of their care and support.

A vacancy has arisen in the High Peak area and we are looking for someone to join our team.


Our dedicated and experienced Direct Payments Team has a wealth of knowledge and skill and work closely with people in receipt of a direct payment, our area social work teams, finance colleagues and other professionals.

The Team arrange, monitor and review new Direct Payments.

We provide advice, information and support to people in Derbyshire wishing to take their personal budget as a Direct Payment.

The Team covers the whole county with team members covering specific geographic areas.

The posts will cover the following areas and be expected to spend time in their locality and attend team events in Matlock.


We are looking for someone who can work on their own initiative but knows when to seek support, be organised and able to prioritise a busy workload under pressure, self-motivated, collaborative and empathic.


Excellent communication skills are also essential in this role along with experience of using ICT for records management and attention to detail.

Adult Social Care experience is beneficial but not essential as full on the job training will be provided.
