Specialist LD Lead

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage staff teams, providing guidance, training, and support in daytoday operations.
Demonstrate expertise in handling different learning difficulties, such as autism, Down syndrome, and intellectual disabilities, particularly in a supported living environment.
Develop and implement effective Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) plans tailored to individual needs.
Create contingency plans for emergencies and oversee their implementation as needed.
Maintain professionalism and effectiveness in handling challenging situations, including behavioral crises.
Ensure compliance with HR procedures and regulatory requirements in all aspects of care delivery.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and external stakeholders to optimize care and support for individuals with LD.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience within the field of learning disabilities, preferably in supported living.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff teams.
Resilient and dynamic approach in managing staff and client interactions.
Knowledge and understanding of various learning difficulties and their management.
Skilled in creating and implementing PBS plans and contingency measures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
Understanding of HR procedures, safeguarding practices, and CQC regulatory standards in care settings.
