About You

We're looking for a hands on Finance Lead to help GEEIQ to improve ways of working and streamline financial processes.

You'll be detail oriented and have a passion for numbers.

You'll be the first point of contact for all queries so you'll bring excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to this position.

This role would suit someone who has experience in a start-up environment, drive change within finance and collaborate across teams.

The role is varied and as GEEIQ continues to scale, there will be an opportunity for growth and progression.

What The Job Involves

You will oversee the smooth running of our reporting processes, being responsible for month end reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable
You'll manage our accounts payable (invoice processing and management, payments to suppliers, codification and consolidation)
You will challenge our existing accounting processes and policies and take the wheel to drive efficiencies and improvements including automation where possible
You'll optimise and manage our accounts receivable (raising invoices, controlling invoices, managing subscriptions & liaising with customers and our account managers to resolve any issues)
You'll assist with budgeting and forecasting, working with the Finance Director
You'll provide ad hoc analysis and data to enable the business to make key strategic decisions
Ensure all transactions are compliant with the latest VAT rules and VAT submissions are made within the required deadlines
Liaise with other parts of the business to ensure the Finance Team has full visibility of all ongoing activities
Work on other ad hoc projects.

Who You Are

Significant experience in a Finance role a solid understanding of accounting and accounts payable principles
A high growth tech background (ideally with SaaS or subscription business model experience)
Tremendously ambitious: Think big. The opportunity is what you decide to make it. We want brave individuals who question "how can we?" and inspire the rest of the business to do the same
The "go to" person when it comes to solving complex problems in the simplest way possible
You have an analytical mind with problem solving aptitude
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
You have Excel/Google Sheet skills
Technology/SaaS industry experience a plus
If you have experience with Xero this would be beneficial
Solid communication skills: able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, internal and external
