Are you a SEN Teacher looking for a new role in Tower Hamlets?


Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a SEN Teacher to join a lovely SEN School based in Tower Hamlets, starting as soon as possible.

This is a full time, long-term role for the full academic year and upon review there will be an opportunity togo permanent.

The position will be paid to scale in line with the main pay scale ranging from £32157 to £42624.


The School:


The SEN School is a primary school for children aged between 2 to 11 years old with Autism, Multiple Learning Difficulties (MLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Complex Medical Needs.

The school is part of a 2 school federation withinthe borough providing outstanding education and learning environment that delivers inclusive learning to meet the needs of all pupils.

The school is home to sensory rooms, soft play rooms, a large hall, studio for physical activities, outdoor play areas, sensorygarden and a small hydrotherapy pool.

The school is easily accessible by public transport with the closest station being a 5 minute walk. Also, they provide parking onsite and in local areas.


The Position:


You will be leading a mixed KS1 class consisting of students from both Year 1 and 2 as a SEN Teacher.

The class consists of up to 8 students with a variety of needs including Autism, Multiple Learning Difficulties and Speech, Language and Communication Needs.

However, all students are high functioning with no behavioural difficulties. You will need to independently plan and deliver high quality lessons in line with each students ability level. Although, you will gain consistent support from senior members of staffincluding SLT. Continuous CPD's and training will also be provided whenever possible to increase professional development.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold previous experience working within SEN
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
