    Use your fundraising skills to make a true difference to someone's life

    What difference will you make?

    The Fundraising Trustee will be key to helping the charity and supporting the Board of Trustees with changes to ways of working and governance as we increase fundraising to

    Provide more services to future recipients of weddings and support more weddings
    Ensure the long-term security of the charity which currently relies on a few key, non-paid volunteers


    You would be helping us financially future proof the charity for years to come, building on the first 13 years of this charity and turning it into an enduring legacy.

    What are we looking for?

    Person Specification

    Proven experience in fundraising, preferably within the charity sector.
    Strong understanding of fundraising principles, methods, and regulations.
    Experience of managing a fundraiser or team.
    Experience of organising events.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to think strategically and creatively about fundraising opportunities.
    Strong organisational and project management skills.
    Commitment to the values and mission of Gift of a Wedding
    Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

    What will you be doing?


    Gift of a Wedding is a not-for-profit charity that gifts weddings to those who are terminally ill or with life limiting illnesses.


    The Board of Trustees have a new volunteer Trustee opportunity for a fundraising and events professional to join our charity based in the North West.

    A few hours of your time each month could change someone's life.


    Role Purpose As a Fundraising Trustee, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our fundraising strategy to ensure the sustainability and growth of our charity and building a small team of fundraising and events volunteers.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fundraising, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to our charity's mission.
